Our Philosophy
There was a time before mass production became a way of
life, when a craftsman took the time and skill required
to be proud of his work. This Old-Fashioned craftsmanship
is difficult to find in new homes today. At L.R. Hill Custom
Builders Inc., we are committed to building homes with this
skill and pride of workmanship. We believe in building our
homes with the quality and devotion we require in our personal
homes.
Upon viewing any of our homes please take notice that only
the finest quality materials are used throughout, the detailed
trim work, custom cabinets, oak floors as well as the interesting
personal touches in each of our houses.
Larry Hill would take great pride and enjoyment in building
your next home. Each of our homes receives his personal
supervision and hands on commitment to quality. We will
be glad to build on your lot or one of ours, to your plans
or ours, or we can work with you to design your "unique"
dream home.
Larry Hill
has been building award-winning! Homearama homes since 1988,
taking a People's Choice Best in Show Award for 10 years.
His homes have also garnered a variety
of Critics' Choice awards, including best craftsmanship for the past eight years. Since
forming his own company in 1984. Larry, who has a degree in mechanical engineering
from Old Dominion University, has provided his clients with top-quality homes. He
prides himself on the close personal supervision
he gives each project. This philosophy was a contributing
factor toward his winning the 1993 Virginia Beach Small Business
of the Year award, as well as being named "Best Builder at the Beach" by The Virginian-Pilot
in 1999 and "Best of Chesapeake" in 2005. An active
member of TBA for many years, Larry was president of the association in 1998. Larry is on the Board of Directors of TowneBank.
